This image is part of a series of images for a project designed by David Chipperfield Architects. It shows the 1st version new main entrance building for the historical museum island (Museumsinsel) in Berlin, Germany.

The 3D model, the renderings and the actual planning process did pass many different iterations before resulting in this final design. There was a very tight cooperation with the architects to achieve exactly the translucent glass look they had in mind.

This image was conceived as a rather atmospheric night shot, showing visitors attracted by the glowing and translucent building.
